The Biospecimens Core oversees protocols for biospecimen sample collection and processing and transportation to the central biorepository at UCSF for storage, and analysis. The Biospecimens Core validates imaging, proteomic, and genetic biomarkers that will improve classification of TBI, permit appropriate selection and stratification of patients for clinical trials, and contribute to the development of a new taxonomy for TBI.
